Unable to join computer to Domain “the network path was not found”

I got the following error message "the network path was not found" when trying to join 1 x Windows 2008 R2 Server to Windows 2008 R2 AD Domain

I had checked the DNS Server is pointing to AD Domain Controller (DC), and manage to ping xxx.local successfully

The root cause of this problem is due to the "Symantec EndPoint Network Threat Protection" had been installed and enabled in AD Domain Controller and blocking the computer from joining to AD Domain

The quick solution for this is to

1. Click on "Option" button on "Network Threat Protection"
2. Select "Disable Network Threat Protection Feature"
3. Try to join the computer to AD Domain again, and it should be able to join successfully
